Round vase with Strelitzia glaze

A round vase with the cryetalline glaze Strelitzia, named for the orange and blue colors similar to the beautiful flower native to South Africa whose common name is bird of paradise flower/plant, because of a resemblance of its flowers to birds-of-paradise. Transparent glaze is applied inside the vase. When this piece came out of my oven, I was very happy because it has very large round crystals just like I wanted.  

Hand-thrown using high quality stoneware on the potter’s wheel to have a moon-like round shape. The crystalline glaze is home made using high-quality raw materials. The oxidizating firing with special schedule.
